Senior Threat Researcher
João Marques is a Senior Threat Researcher at HUMAN Security and a member of the Satori Threat Intelligence and Research team. He has developed and focused his skillset over time on reverse engineering and malware analysis. His career began as a developer but quickly changed to cybersecurity to work as an incident responder and later as an android malware analyst. His passion lies in dissecting malware to comprehend attackers’ techniques to help identify and address emerging threats. He has contributed to threat research including HUMAN’s investigation of the complex global cybercriminal operation BADBOX. Prior to his time at HUMAN, João worked as a subject matter expert, cybersecurity analyst, and information security consultant.
