Personal AI agents are reaching mass-market users faster than most security and marketing teams can track them. Meta’s Muse reached #1 on the App Store within 10 days of its September launch, and HUMAN saw it account for 40% of agentic traffic that same month. OpenAI’s Dots and Google’s Gemini Agent followed, and Anthropic’s Claude Duet, released in research preview on October 21, is the latest personal agent to reach users.
Today, HUMAN detects all major consumer agents, including Claude Duet, giving teams visibility into Duet requests across customer properties since October 28th, 2026.
Claude Duet is a research preview for US Claude Pro and Max users on a waitlist, so its reach is still limited. To put Duet’s current request volume in perspective, on October 28, Muse sent roughly 3,350 times more traffic than Duet across HUMAN’s customer network.
Why detection matters now
Early detection lets teams set policy before volume arrives. Duet mostly went to product and search pages. For Sightline customers, gaining visibility into Duet traffic is imperative in understanding the agent’s actions and intent.
Sightline Premium Plus customers can go beyond visibility to manage agent permissions in detail, including access to login, checkout, and account changes. With policies in place upfront, teams can confidently enable Duet to take these actions at scale.
We know this is just the beginning of scaling personal agents. As consumer options multiply, adoption follows, and so does the complexity for organizations trying to determine how to continue to serve these customers.
Teams that can see which AI agent is visiting and set permissions for it, protecting performance and mitigating risk without blocking the automation that creates value.
What Duet is
Claude Duet runs in the cloud and works across the apps a user connects. It can triage email, check accounts, and draft work for review. Built on Claude Opus 5.5, Duet works from its own virtual machine with a built-in browser. Anthropic positions Duet for professionals and small-business owners, and says personal errands like booking tickets are not yet a strength.
What early activity tells us about Duet
To put Claude Duet’s early activity in perspective, we compared one day of its traffic with the three largest consumer agents on HUMAN’s network. Duet is the smallest by a wide margin, as expected for a waitlisted preview.

Almost all of Duet’s requests went to product and search pages, a higher share than any of the other three agents. Fewer than 1% touched login or checkout, consistent with an agent that asks before it pays.

Claude Duet’s traffic looked more like a consumer agent’s than a work tool’s: 70.7% went to retail and e-commerce properties and 21.2% to real estate. For now, early users appear to be pointing Duet at the same shopping and home-search tasks given to other personal agents.
This is one day from an early preview, so the mix will shift as more users get access. We’ll update these numbers as Duet scales.
Availability
Claude Duet detection is available to all HUMAN Sightline customers as of October 28th, providing visibility into Duet activity and classification of the agent.
Sightline Premium Plus customers have the flexibility to set and revise agent-specific permissions over actions such as login, checkout, and account changes, in addition to rate limits.
